From one outbreak to a new approach

Our story starts with a phone call no one wants to receive.

A grower friend of one of our founders was told by public health officials that a multi-state Salmonella outbreak had been traced back to his farm. Hundreds got sick. People died. The experience shook him—not just as a producer, but as a person—and he became determined to prevent anything like it from happening again.

He urged our founders to pursue a hypothesis they’d been exploring: that ozone nanobubbles could provide more effective microbial control than the status quo, without relying on the same harsh chemistries and inefficient processes. In 2017, that determination and that theory became En Solución—a company dedicated to saving lives by developing and validating new approaches to food safety.
